Hezbe Islami Afghanistan’s stand about the forthcoming consultative council (Jirga):

IN the name of Allah; the most compassionate, the most Merciful.

Our stand about the convening of the forthcoming consultative council (Jirga) is:

1-Since  most of the delegates    in the  forthcoming   consultative  council ( Mashwarati Jirga)  are  selected people  of  Mr. H. Karzai’s  regime, and  they don’t have  authority to make independent decisions about the  real issues  of the current situations. Meanwhile, Mujahidin decided not to participate in this gathering under the umbrella of  the US military might.  Besides the US  is not permitting the delegates   to take  decision about the immediate  withdrawal  of the foreign   forces  from the country  as well as  the delegates will not  be  in the position to take steps  for the  solution   of  the basic problem of security, therefore, their  decision will not be reflecting the view of the Afghan nation as a whole, and will not be in the position to  guaranty  the savior  of our  national  interests. The  US  has already  announced  that , the time is not  proper  to talk  with the opposition,  it the same time,  the US  has also ordered the  authorities  of Kabul to delay the  convening of the council  two times. Therefore, the Kabul regime’s council will not be of any importance.

2- Hezbe Islami  Afghanistan  strongly rejects  the  proposals of  US  and  its  puppet  regime in Kabul   that , the Leadership of the Mujahidin  movement  should  take shelter  either in Saudi Arabia or any other  country. The Leader  and Amir  of HIA, Brother  Eng. Gulbudeen Hekmatyar  will be staying  in his  country alongside the Mujahid  people  of  Afghanistan, for the freedom of the country  from the  Occupiers,  until  the end of  his  life. We believe that the Occupiers have to withdraw their forces very soon. Therefore, they should take their puppets along with them. We, at the mean time want to announce that, neither we have any contact with The Saudi Arabian government nor do we have any negotiations through them with the Americans or other counties.
